ABOUT US

We, the Tennessee Train, are a nonprofit women’s football team founded in 2012, on the values of Sisterhood. Our mission is to ensure that women in Chattanooga and surrounding areas have the opportunity to play the sport that they love, but have been denied in the past. It is also our goal to ensure that these women can do so affordably. We are player owned and operated much like the Green Bay Packers are owned by the city of Green Bay.

The Tennessee Train is a very proud member of the Independent Women’s Football League - WFA. The WFA is headquartered in Exeter, Ca. The WFA was established to create the highest level of football for women in North America while making it so that women could afford to play regardless of income level. The WFA currently consists of 65 teams in 17 states as well as one in Canada.
